Plain-English summary. By booking a shipment with us you agree to these terms. We promise to take reasonable care of your parcel, deliver it in line with the service you chose, and pay reasonable compensation if we damage or lose it. You promise to package and declare it accurately, and not to ship anything dangerous or illegal.

1. About these terms

These terms govern the contract between you ("you", "the sender" or "the customer") and Skyway Parcel ("we", "us", or "our") whenever you book a shipment, use our website, or otherwise engage our services. By booking a shipment you confirm you have read and accepted these terms.

2. Bookings and pricing

  • Quotes generated by our shipping calculator are estimates based on the information you provide and remain valid for 7 days.
  • The final price is calculated at booking and may differ from the estimate if the parcel's actual or volumetric weight, dimensions, contents, or destination differ from what you entered.
  • You agree to pay all shipping charges, surcharges (fuel, remote area, security), duties, and taxes lawfully due on the shipment.

3. Your responsibilities as sender

  • Package the contents securely so they will withstand normal handling, sorting, and transit.
  • Provide accurate sender and recipient details, a complete description of the contents, and the declared value.
  • Not include any prohibited or restricted items (see section 4).
  • Comply with all applicable export, import, customs, sanctions, and tax laws of the origin and destination countries.

4. Prohibited and restricted items

The following items are prohibited from our network at all times: cash and bearer instruments, dangerous goods (explosives, flammables, corrosives, radioactive material, lithium batteries above declared limits), live animals, human remains, narcotics, weapons and ammunition, counterfeit goods, and any item whose import or export is prohibited by the origin or destination country.

Restricted items (food, alcohol, perishables, batteries within limits, medicines) require advance disclosure and may need additional paperwork. If you are unsure, contact us before booking.

5. Pickup, delivery, and timing

Quoted transit times are typical for the route and service level chosen. They are not guaranteed unless you have purchased a Guaranteed Delivery service. Delays caused by customs, weather, force majeure, or incorrect address details are not our responsibility, but we will do everything reasonable to keep your shipment moving and to keep you informed.

6. Customs and duties

For international shipments we prepare the customs declaration on your behalf based on the information you provide. You remain legally responsible for the accuracy of that information. Duties, import taxes, and clearance fees imposed by the destination country are payable by the recipient unless you select Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) at booking.

7. Liability and claims

  • Our standard liability for loss or damage is limited to the lesser of the declared value or our published per-shipment cap, in line with the Warsaw / Montreal Convention or CMR Convention where applicable.
  • You may purchase additional cover at booking for high-value shipments.
  • Claims must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the expected delivery date for damage and within 14 days for loss, with photographs and supporting evidence.
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss (e.g. lost profits or missed business opportunities).

8. Refusal and abandonment

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or stop carriage of any shipment that breaches these terms or that we reasonably believe to be unsafe, illegal, or prohibited. Where a shipment cannot be delivered or returned, and reasonable attempts to contact you have failed, we may dispose of it in accordance with applicable law.

9. Account use, accuracy, and fraud

You are responsible for the accuracy of all information you submit through our website and for keeping any account credentials confidential. We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably suspect fraudulent or abusive use.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in law, our services, or industry practice. The version in force when you book a shipment is the version that applies to that shipment.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the contract of carriage is formed. Where required by international convention, the relevant convention applies. We aim to resolve any dispute promptly and amicably — please contact us first before pursuing formal action.

These terms are provided as a general framework. They do not replace specialised contracts of carriage that may apply to specific freight or DDP services — we will share those contracts where relevant before you book.
